In 1962 LCDR John Boles and Prof. Conley Smith started the Amatuer Radio Club at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey. (Note the school moved to Monterey from Annapolis MD in 1951). Shown below right in the picture is Boles and Smith (in 1962 or 1963) showing QSL cards from AIR, NSS and WAR stations.

Newsflash

The dues for K6LY has been $20/year for the whole family for many years. This supports the club repeater, badges for new members, expenses for events and snacks at the club meeting. If you are new or think you are behind please check with the Club Treasurer. $20 for the year for the whole family, for 1 or if you have 18 people in your family. Due start in Janaury, most pay at the annual Christmas party. They are prorated if you pay later in the year.
